    ]]>

The CS-SM steel mill pressure transducer is designed to withstand the rugged demands of the steel mill industry. Standard configuration includes a stainless steel body welded to a high-strength stainless steel sensing element offering 4X overpressure protection, an integral snubber to protect against pressure transients and an IP69 rating. Electrical connections include an integral cable or a 6-Pin Bendix with a variety of output signals and process connections.

The CS-SM has been designed and built for the toughest environments. An integral snubber (or restrictor plug) is standard on the CS-SM, dampening the pressure spikes that are common in steel and rolling mill applications. Even with the addition of the snubber, the CS-SM is still capable of responding to pressure quickly; ~1kHz for voltage outputs and ~250Hz for 4-20mA current output. By carefully selecting the appropriate diaphragm thickness, the CS-SM is capable of achieving 4X overpressure protection and 10X (or 20,000 PSI) burst pressure protection. These protections are critical in applications such as stamping and roll forming as the sudden pressure events can easily exceed the intended application pressure. Transducers without high overpressure and burst pressure protection run the risk of permanent damage and potential damage to other equipment if the pressure cannot be monitored and controlled properly. A 6-Pin Bendix electrical connector is precision tig welded onto the sensor’s body, providing an IP69 rating. This ensures the sensor will continue operating, even during high-pressure washdown events.

The CS15 non-clogging submersible pressure transducer is designed for liquid level measurement in turbulent tanks and tanks with viscous medias such as wastewater lift stations. A Hastelloy C276 diaphragm, stainless steel construction and an ETFE cable jacket allow for installation in a wide variety of liquids. The heavy-duty steel cage anchors the sensor at the bottom of the tank to ensure accurate level readings as well as acting as a barrier between solids in the tank and the flush diaphragm of the sensor. A vent tube runs the length of the cable and quickly equalizes the barometric pressure within the sensor body. The CS15 is available in various output signals including 4-20mA for long-distance transmissions and voltage outputs for low power, low current consumption applications.

The CS15 Non-Clogging Submersible Pressure Transducer was carefully engineered to withstand some of the toughest environments. With a thickness of 1 to 1.5 mils, the diaphragm is the thinnest component of the transducer. To help protect this critical component, Hastelloy* C276 (UNS N10276) is the standard diaphragm material. This material is a super nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy offering excellent corrosion resistance, prolonging the life of the transducer. 300 series stainless steel (316L and 304) makes up the remaining metallic construction including the heavy-duty steel cage, housing (case), and 1/2″ MNPT conduit fitting. Precision TIG welds along with a Kynar strain relief and Viton seals prevent liquids from entering the sensor, resulting in an IP68 rating.

The CS54 non-incendive differential pressure transducer is a high-strength sensor designed for differential pressure measurements of liquids and gases in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations. A 316L SS oil-filled sensor element provides excellent stability over a wide operating temperature range while offering corrosion resistance against various liquids and gases. Differential pressure ranges up to 50 PSI are available with 1/4″ MNPT or FNPT process connections.

In an effort to simplify installation in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations, the CS54 is offered with an integral Turck® Minifast® electrical connection.

When combined with a CSA Division 2 approved Turck® cordset and a Turck® Lokfast Guard, there is no requirement for a conduit to be installed over the cable*. This not only makes installation easy but also makes switching out sensors less cumbersome. Core Sensors can supply all components as a complete package.
