The CS15 non-clogging submersible pressure transducer is designed for liquid level measurement in turbulent tanks and tanks with viscous medias such as wastewater lift stations. A Hastelloy C276 diaphragm, stainless steel construction and an ETFE cable jacket allow for installation in a wide variety of liquids. The heavy-duty steel cage anchors the sensor at the bottom of the tank to ensure accurate level readings as well as acting as a barrier between solids in the tank and the flush diaphragm of the sensor. A vent tube runs the length of the cable and quickly equalizes the barometric pressure within the sensor body. The CS15 is available in various output signals including 4-20mA for long-distance transmissions and voltage outputs for low power, low current consumption applications.

The CS15 Non-Clogging Submersible Pressure Transducer was carefully engineered to withstand some of the toughest environments. With a thickness of 1 to 1.5 mils, the diaphragm is the thinnest component of the transducer. To help protect this critical component, Hastelloy* C276 (UNS N10276) is the standard diaphragm material. This material is a super nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy offering excellent corrosion resistance, prolonging the life of the transducer. 300 series stainless steel (316L and 304) makes up the remaining metallic construction including the heavy-duty steel cage, housing (case), and 1/2″ MNPT conduit fitting. Precision TIG welds along with a Kynar strain relief and Viton seals prevent liquids from entering the sensor, resulting in an IP68 rating.

The CS50 non-incendive pressure transducer from Core Sensors is a high-strength sensor designed for use in hazardous environments with various approvals and certifications. Available with pressure ranges from 50 PSI up to 30,000 PSI with an accuracy of ≤±0.25% BFSL. The CS50 has a selection of electrical output options, as well as a choice of process connections and wetted materials available with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C and a media temperature range of -40 to +125°C. The Robust design and variety of configurable options make the CS50 series a versatile pressure transducer designed to operate in some of the harshest conditions. Utilising an all welded stainless steel one-piece diaphragm with no internal O-rings or welds, the series also offers a minimum ingress protection of IP65. The CS50 is an excellent solution for applications such as natural gas compression, hydrogen compression and storage, and process control instrumentation.

In an effort to simplify installation in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations, the CS50 non-incendive pressure transducer is offered with an integral Turck Mini-Fast electrical connection. When combined with a Turck cordset (with ITC rated cable) and a Turck Lokfast Guard, there is no requirement for conduit to be installed over the cable*. This not only makes installation easy but also makes switching out sensors less cumbersome. Core Sensors can supply all components as a complete package.

*Core Sensors recommends confirming hazardous location installation requirements with your local inspector as each installation is unique.
